• 10 things I learned being an artist
Hello guys!
For today's post I wanted to write 10 things I learned being an artist. It was so easy to write this, there is more than 10 things but maybe I'll write something like ''10 more things I learned'' but for now, this is okay.
1. Practice is everything
1. Practice is everything
Yeah I know this is something not just artists, but ALL people say. But it's true. For a success, you need 1% talent and 99% practice. When I was starting all I was doing was drawing lol, so that was the time i really made a progress. Now, unfortunately I don't have time for drawing that much because of school, trainings and playing drums, but I use most of my free time to draw.
2. You have to love what you do
2. You have to love what you do
This is as important as practicing. You can have a talent for something or you can do it just for money or something else, but if you hate or just don't love what you do, that's just not it. Sooner or later, you will really get tired of doing it. There is no artist who made a success that way, so keep it in mind, do what you love, and love what you do.
3. Skills are more important than equipment
Yeah, it's better to have good equipment, (i'm talking about drawing, but this is for all kind of art) because your drawings and shades and just everything can and will look better, but only if you have skills. If you can make a good drawng with some cheap color pencils, with good colors you will make a MASTERPIECE.
4. You'll do your best when you're not trying
Ok so I thought this is just my problem, but later I saw that many artist talk about this. Like, I create a masterpiece in my sketchbook or some cheap paper from school notebook, but when I REALLY want to draw something good and like publish it on my instagram or whatever, and I draw it on high-quality paper I'm like ''It's okay I think, but no I will NEVER show this to someone'' lol xD But this doesn't have to be your case, I'm talking about my experience and what I learned.
5. Everything can give you inspiration
At the beginning, when I didn't know what to draw and I was tired of, like, searching for drawings on google or pinterest and just redrawing it, I wanted to create something unique, and when I was searching posts like ''where can I find inspiration for drawing" or something, everyone always talk about this - everything can give you inspiration, like, come out and just watch trees and clouds and blah blah blah
And no.
It didn't help me.
But somehow, now, almost everything gives me inspiration, but in the beginning I was looking for it on Pinterest and other and I find something interesting, and I try to draw it, but not exactly like that, I add some details from my head and it turn out like absolutely new drawing, if you understood, I don't know how to explain XD
6. Art helps you see and appreciate beauty
So many times before, when I find some drawing that looked ''ugly'' or it was made by a beginner so the anatomy of a guy wasn't good or something I always tought like ''ew, how can someone be proud of it'' and that. But now, I realised that usually it's not about a look of that drawing, but about a message, or about someone's feelings expressed in that piece of art.
7. Art helps you express your feelings
Always. When you don't have a words to explain how you feel. When you're sad, happy, or you just don't feel anything. It always helps.
8. Art can change your mood easily
I'm not talking just about drawing, you know how one song can make your day better, but it can also make you wanna cry. There are some songs I always listen in tears.
9. I'm not afraid of failure

9. I'm not afraid of failure
When I was starting, I didn't even use color pencils because I was like ''I don't know how to shade, I can't do it, it will look ugly'' and yes, it was really ugly when I drew a portrait with them for the first time, but with practice I was better and better. But I was afraid of failure, but that's just a drawing, you can just use new paper and draw again. And again. And again. Or in makeup art, that's just makeup, if you fail, you can easily erase it.
10. You can't please everyone
That's something I wish I knew when I was starting. Like, everything I draw I show my friends who were better than me, and they always tell me when it's ugly and when it's really good, and of course they tell me what I need to fix next time. And when I show them one drawing and they are like ''wow it's great'' I was always expecting that everyone will like it. But you know, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
So that's it, I hope this helped you, see ya! :)
